Running annually for 32 years, Canadian Music Week (CMW) returns in 2014 with its usual multi-faceted blend of music, media conferences and award shows promoting Canada's wonderful pool of talent. Running from May 6th to 10th, CMW will be a diving board from which musicians, filmmakers and comedians will be taking leaps of faith. They will be given the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and get their foot in the door by showing off their skills and blowing up stages all around the city.
Headliners for the music festival include Tegan and Sara, M.I.A., Ellie Goulding, City and Colour, Walk Off The Earth, Neko Case, Flatbush Zombies, and The 1975, plus over 1000 acts across the city. A few of the venues include Adelaide Hall, Air Canada Centre, Baltic Avenue, Bovine, C'est What and many more. Check out the full music schedule with venues here.
Comedians such as Miranda Sings (who has received over 60 millions hits on YouTube) and Tom Green will be performing while The Royal Cinema on College Street hosts a range of innovative choice films that are lined up to be screened throughout the week. You'll want to say you were there!
Tickets vary according to act, please see the CMW website for full listings and prices.
