Imagine living in a world where no child is left behind, and no child is uneducated or living in poverty. While that may not be the case just yet, Plan, a children's development organization, has plans to make big changes.
Founded over 75 years ago, Plan is a independent institution. Not affiliated with any governmental, religious or political groups, they advocate for children’s rights to proper education in over 50 countries throughout Asia, Africa and the Americas.
This Monday, June 16th, 2014 has been deemed the Day of the African Child. It is then that Plan’s “10 Days to Act” campaign launches, a call for global action in support of government investment in children's education. Education, which is currently out of reach for 57 million children worldwide, is an effective way to fight poverty and help today's kids rise up. On June 26th, 2014, at the end of the 10 days, a Global Partnership for Education conference will be hosted, and attended by the world's governments, in Brussels.
