3 WorldPride Parties You Don't Want to Miss!

WorldPride offers cultural events, parades, performances and most importantly wet and wild parties celebrating the activism, education, history and culture of global LGBTTIQQ2SA* communities. The following are 3 of the biggest, most exciting WorldPride 2014 Toronto parties that you don't want to miss.

Aqua: Massive WorldPride T-Dance Edition

On June 28th from 12pm to 8pm, the Yonge and Dundas Square will be filled with AQUA's energy and the thousands of Pride supporters and partygoers. One of the biggest dance parties of the weekend, they plan to have 22 water fountains set up around the area while international DJ Chus & Ceballos (Spain), DJ Aron (Israel/NYC) and DJ Kitty Glitter (Australia) entertain the crowds.
 

You can also expect an appearance from drag sensation Sofanda Cox and personality, model and burlesque dancer Carmen Carrera.

 

MTVs “Pop Goes Pride”

On June 27th starting at 7pm, cultural phenomenon, Carly Rae Jespen will be taking the TD Wellesley stage at MTVs “Pop Goes Pride” party. Accompanying her will be Canadian music synthpop electronic band Dragonette and Toronto-born pop rock singer/songwriters Fefe Dobson and Molly Thomason. This show will be hosted by MTVs Lauren Toyota and Pheobe Dykstra and is licensed for all ages.

 

WorldPride Playlist Party

On June 26th at Fly Nightclub, the WorldPride Playlist Party will be giving a sneak preview of the weekend's top music and artists. Some of Toronto's most popular DJ s, DJ Sumation, DJ Blackcat and DJ Recklezz will be taking on the crowds. The party is from 10pm to 3am.

Aqua, “Pop Goes Pride” and WorldPride Playlist Party are just a few of the main parties that will be hosted during what has become one the of biggest international events of our time. Don't miss out on the action.

*LGBTTIQQ2SA is an abbreviation used to represent a broad array of identities such as, but not limited to, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning, two-spirited, and allies.
