Summer is passing quickly... here at Yabsta, we can't believe it's already August! If you're looking to take advantage of the last few weeks of hot weather, good news - there's plenty to do in the city of Toronto. Read on for 3 family-friendly events that are economical, fun and great for all ages.


Family Sundays

Where? Toronto's Harbourfront Centre

When? Every Sunday until September 6th.

What time? Times vary.


Every Sunday, the Harbourfront Centre on Queens Quay West is hosting Family Sundays! The perfect afternoon activity for families living downtown, these events are free and are held at varying times. Check out the website and stop by for unique, engaging workshops, performances and much more tailored towards a younger crowd.


Toronto Botanical Garden Farmers' Market 

Where? Toronto Botanical Garden

When? Every Thursday!

What time? 2 - 7pm


Every week, the Toronto Botanical Garden hosts a Famers' Market that offers the best local produce, meat, bread, cheese, prepared foods and more. Parking is free and available on site and there are also organic farmers and Master Gardeners available to discuss the industry, provide advice and more. Great for families, there are tables available for quick meals, snacks and enjoying the scenery as well as personal care products, candles, soap, sweets, wines and more.


The Time Travel Trail

Where? Yonge Street and Front Street

When? Every Saturday.

What time? 730pm


Go back in time with the Haunted Walk of Toronto's Time Travel Trail! A historic tour of the city, it runs every Saturday at 730pm and leaves from the southern side of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Interesting and interactive, your tour guide is guaranteed to fascinate you during this adventure as you go back in time. Tickets cost $18.75 for adults, $14.75 for youth and $16.75 for students.
